Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure
Last updated October 29, 2026
Trend Receipts is free to read. This page explains how we may make money and how we label it, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and disclosures.
Affiliate links
Some links on Trend Receipts and in our newsletter may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Pages that may contain these links carry a short note: "Some links may earn us a commission." Links in "The receipts" are always plain editorial links to the reporting we cite; they are never affiliate links.
Sponsored content
Sponsored content is always labeled "Sponsored." That applies to sponsored placements on the site and in the newsletter. Sponsors do not choose, edit or approve which trends we cover or what we say about them.
Editorial independence
Our editorial picks are independent. A trend makes the board because the reporting supports it, never because of a commission, a sponsor or a free product. If we ever receive a product for free, we will say so where we mention it.
Sources and original reporting
Every trend links to the original publishers whose reporting it draws on, such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and WWD. We do not republish their articles or photos. Short quotes are credited to their writers and link to the source.
